Enjoy my exploration of weird and fantastic events in history - related to horror, fantasy, literature, and just plain news of the strange.

Charleston, South Carolina. A beautiful place in the South. I have never been there, but I can visualize it. Duirng the summer it must be humid. Green, leafy trees. Ladies and gentlemen sip ice tea on their veranda.
In 1843 there was a storm, lightening flashed. Torrents of rain fell from the sky, lightening and thunder crashed. People ran for shelter and carried umbrellas.
And then plunk. An Alligator rained down as well. A big green lizard.
What happened next is not well known. My hopes is that someone named it George and took good care of this magical and mystical flying creature.
